Kate draws with light using digital, silver, and non-silver alternative techniques to record the spaces between moments that will be recalled later as memory. She prefers to turn her camera towards water and trees for their wisdom and to all beings close to her heart. Born and raised in rural Western New York, Kate has been residing in Buffalo for the past seven years. From 2005 to spring semester of 2019 she was a fine arts adjunct instructor at University at Buffalo, Daemen College, Niagara County Community College and D’Youville College. She has exhibited regionally, was a participant in the NYFA MARK 10 Program, and leads workshops for photography, book arts, and intuitive meditation.
