Please join us as we look to support Journey’s End—a WNY organization doing very important work that benefits the entire region and its residents.
This year, CEPA conducted an eight-week photographic arts education program that worked with 15 Journey’s End refugee artists, teaching photographic practices and guiding the artists in documenting their lives—including their families, schools, workplaces, and community.
The project includes training from CEPA teaching artists in framing and shooting photographs, exploring photographic practices and themes (including still-life, portraiture, & photo-essay) and bi-weekly discussions and critiques of the artists’ work.
This year’s resulting photographs are once again printed and displayed at CEPA Gallery to celebrate the artists’ work. The exhibition will be on display at CEPA (FLUX Gallery and both Passageway Galleries) from December 5–21. A reception for the Journey’s End photographers will be held Thursday, December 5 from 6:00pm–9:00pm to launch the exhibit.
