STATEMENT: The Habitorium series makes a study of constructed spaces — those interior and exterior areas designed to satisfy the emotional and bodily needs of its occupants. I am interested in both the sublime and bucolic cultural conceits developed through Romantic era landscape traditions, and how these ideas can be compartmentalized to form post-naturalistic landscapes that reveal how extremely studied life is.
