STATEMENT: Exploring the chthonic underworld, I see a terrestrial darkness towards which I am drawn. Travelling into complete blackness I realize that I am seeing light. At the center of true blackness is light. After all, blackness is the total absorption of light. As I approach the light I begin to see the universe, as I travel further I see the spiritual perception of thought.
I have never made this physical journey. As I enter the place where my images are born, I investigate the realm of time, space, knowledge, spirituality, cyclical and unique motion. The images are the only instantaneous records that these moments have ever occurred. They grow, and reinvent themselves the longer they endure. The journey is momentary. Experience endures.
