STATEMENT: Begun in 2009, Unnatural History recreates a behind-the-scenes look at the natural history museum. The viewer is not sure what is taking place but we can guess the scientists and artists are confusing the facts. A mastodon is being sculpted from paper-mâché; North American beavers are being imported from Mexico. This series is printed in the luscious platinum/palladium process, giving it a historical feel. This series debuted in February 2010 at CLAMPART Gallery in New York City.
