STATEMENT: I create visual narratives that resemble maps, graphs, or timelines based on personal experiences and significant life events. The Therapy Series is based on notes written by my therapist during a series of counseling sessions in 2011-2012. Each specimen was created using a session transcript notated with an emotion indicator based on the therapists assessment of my state of mind during the session. An index, included with the piece, defines the indicator codes (Anxious; Exhausted; Frustrated; Guilty; Intense; Normal; Overwhelmed; Vigilant; Worried).
