Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Layers in Photoshop is helpful for this workshop, however a beginner may garner some helpful advice and lots of inspiration to try this technique. This is a 3-hour workshop demonstrating before and after photographs using textures to transform your images into works of art. Demonstration in Photoshop will be shown to learn this technique, which blends images into a painterly result using layer masks with a brush. Attendees will discover how to transform a fairly simple image they may have captured and turn it into a stunning and unexpected personal work of art. Attendees should bring laptop computers (if available) with software installed to benefit with hands on instruction. Adobe Photoshop/ Lightroom and Topaz software can be downloaded for free 30 day trials prior to class instruction. Students may also use the computers in the CEPA digital lab – bring work on a flash drive or CD.
